Review

Folder Jockey is a small and simple program that will let you create shortcuts for any existing folder on your PC. In this way, you will have a fast access to your favorite folders just pressing a hotkey you previously selected. Besides, within Windows Explorer, you will be able to create shortcuts by using the context menu.

There are two ways of creating shortcuts. One is from the program window, the Folder Shortcuts tab, by pressing the New Shortcut button. There you will need to select your folder manually and press the hotkey you want to assign to the shortcut. The second way to create a shortcut is easier: from Windows Explorer, you select a specific folder, then you make a right click to see the context menu, and select the option "Add to Folder Jockey".

In the program's interface you will be able to edit or delete your shortcuts. Besides, once a shortcut is created, it will remain active while the program is working in the background in the system tray. Finally, this simple and free program can help you to access your favorite folders in an easier way, and if you like this application, you can configure it to run when Windows starts.
Advantages
  • It is easy to use and configure.
  • You can create as many shortcuts as you want.
  • You can create a shortcut from context menu in Windows Explorer.
Disadvantages
  • It would be better if we could create shortcuts for files and not only for folders.
